How many wedding cars do I need?

Every wedding is different and consequently as little as one car can work fine or as many as you want can be used depending on how elaborate the wedding is. If you decide to use one car, the main bridal car can pick up the groom and party and transport him to the church. It can then return for the bridesmaids and bride by making two more separate runs to the church / Registry office. The bridal car will then make one run to the reception which means the bridal party have to make their own way. This system works fine when the church and pick up's are in the same location. Problems arise if there is a distance between the church and pick up locations. This is because the grooms party and bridesmaids can be left waiting for long periods of time for the one car to make all the runs necessary.

Therefore a lot of people will chose two cars. The main car will collect the bride with the second collecting the groomsmen and bridesmaids; again depending on distance. With this arrangement, The Bride and groom travel to the reception in one car and the bridal party in the other.

Some weddings use three cars. This is most popular where a wedding has a lot of bridesmaids and groomsmen, too many to fit into one limousine. In this instance, the norm is to allocate one car for the bride, one for the grooms party and one for the bridesmaids.

What is the difference between the cars?

The vast majority of people in Ireland only get married once and so don't generally know that much about wedding cars. Most people straight away think of Rolls Royce, Daimlers and Bentleys when you ask them to name wedding cars. We supply Mercedes Limousines. Is there a difference in price depending on where my reception is?

Yes there is a price difference when hiring at Atlantic Chauffeur. We are based in Galway and the further our car has to travel from base, the more expensive the charge that applies.

What is included in the price?

Included at any price quoted at Atlantic Chauffeur is :

The car, a uniformed driver, Ribbons on the cars, a photo stop en route to the reception.

Do I need to actually view the cars?

We recommend always viewing the cars you book. There are a number of reasons for this. If you have only viewed photographs, there is no way of telling how old these photos are and while a car may look great in a picture, it may look terrible in the flesh. There are also many operators that will hire cars to you that they do not own. These are the same people that will walk away from you in the event of anything going wrong on the day. It is therefore very important that you see all the cars you intend to hire at the vendors premises. Finally, always sit into the cars you are intending to hire. A lot of vintage cars develop a musty smell inside if they are not looked after and on the day, this smell will still be there. Finally certain wedding cars that look huge outside are actually very small inside. A bride with a large dress must make sure there is enough room inside the car to enter and exit comfortably.

Is the colour important?

Some weddings are designed with certain colour schemes running through them and the colour of everything is important. If you are only using one wedding car, we suggest that the colour is relatively unimportant as the car will stand on it's own merit. If you are choosing more than one car, colour becomes more important as you don't want the colours of the two cars to clash. To this end, we suggest that you do not book two bridal cars as it can create confusion as to which is the bridal car and which is the second car. Will the prices change?

If you make a booking with us and pay a deposit, the price you agreed with us will not change .

Why is it so expensive?

All of cars boast new soft leather interiors and new carpeting that you wont find anywhere else in Ireland. Our cars come with our unique champagne bucket and glass stand. You will not smell must or will not see rust, unlike on some of our competitors cars. All of our cars are owned and operated by us and can be viewed at our premises at any time

How do I make a booking?

In order to secure a booking, you must first pay a deposit. The standard deposit is currently €100 per booking. You must also fill in a booking form at the time of booking.

Wedding Transport is the string that holds your wedding day together.

Organising transport for your wedding can be complicated and time consuming. At Atlantic Chauffeur we can advise you and share our years of experience with you to solve any problems before they even happen.
For Example:
How will the Groom and the best man get to the church?
(usually 30 minutes before the bride).
How will the Grooms parents get to the church?
How will the bride get herself, the person giving her away, the Bridesmaids, the Flower girls or Page boy and her own parents to the church?
After the ceremony, how will the Bridal party get to the venue for the official Photographs?
How will the rest of the wedding party get to the church, and from the church to the reception?
How will the reception guests get home after the wedding reception is over?
How will the Bride and Groom finally set off for their Honeymoon?

Saloons and Limousines.
At Atlantic Chauffeur we can supply Mercedes Benz S Class or E Class for your special wedding day.
Saloons and Limousines are used to:
Take the Groom and Best Man to the church. Take the Grooms Parents to the church. Take the Bride and the person giving her away to the church. Take the Brides Mother, Bridesmaids, Flower Girls and Page Boy to the church. Take the newly weds to the venue for the photographs then to the reception. Take the main wedding party (Best Man, Grooms Men, Bridesmaids, Flower girl, Page Boy) to the venue for the photographs and then to the reception, this usually requires a second wedding car. Its a nice idea if your budget allows, to organise a car to take both sets of parents to the reception after the ceremony. Take the newly weds from the reception on their way to their honeymoon (possible the next day or later in the week).

At Atlantic Chauffeur we can supply a range of wedding cars or wedding limousines for your wedding day. Some of our cars or limousines can do two or three runs to the church with your bridal party, if time and distance allow. We can arrange champagne for the journey to the wedding reception. We supply either, White Wedding Ribbons, Ivory Wedding Ribbons, or Light Gold Wedding Ribbons for the car, to match the Wedding Gown, or on a second car a different ribbon to match the bridesmaids dress, or Mother of the brides dress. If you require a different colour than listed above, you can supply six yards of ribbon which we will fit to the car on the wedding day.
